The program for the care of people with albinism aims to provide an integrated and sustainable response to the multiple challenges they face, particularly in the health, social, and economic spheres. It is based first and foremost on dermatological health, with the organization of regular medical consultations, early detection of skin lesions, and the management of skin diseases and skin cancers. The program also includes the free distribution of sun protection kits containing high-SPF sunscreens, wide-brimmed hats, sunglasses, and protective clothing adapted to local climatic conditions. A second component focuses on community awareness to combat misconceptions, stigmatization, and discrimination experienced by people with albinism. Communication campaigns, educational sessions in schools and communities, and the involvement of local and religious leaders are implemented to promote acceptance and respect for human rights.
