Worst forms of child labor
The AEJT – DRC is committed to protecting children from the worst forms of child labor, particularly prevalent in artisanal mines, markets, transport and various forms of exploitation. The program establishes a system for the identification and immediate removal of children exposed to these dangers, followed by their social and family reintegration. Depending on their needs, children are directed towards schooling or appropriate vocational training, in order to offer them sustainable alternatives. At the same time, community awareness-raising and advocacy actions are carried out to strengthen prevention and promote children's fundamental rights.
